About

Pourvoirie Duhamel stretches across 166 km² north of the Monts-Valin, in the valley of Lac Duhamel (10 km long), fed by two large rivers — the Grande and the Petite Manouane — considered important natural spawning grounds. The territory holds about twenty lakes and offers fishing for five species: brook trout, walleye, pike, landlocked salmon and whitefish. On the hunting side, four territories of roughly 40 km² each are developed (salt licks, blinds, tree stands) for moose, black bear, small game and ptarmigan. Lodging in log cabins (European plan) perched at the junction of the two Manouane rivers, overlooking the valley — Le Trappeur (couple/family, up to 4 people), Le Montagnais (groups of 6 and under), Le Vieux Camp and Le Pêcheur. In summer, descend the Manouane River by canoe-camping, kayak and SUP (in partnership with Saguenay Aventures), hiking, berry picking and ATV trails. Access to the cabins is by a short rowboat trip to cross the river.
