Pourvoirie Monts-Valin du Archer

Pourvoirie Monts-Valin du Archer occupies a 52 km² exclusive-rights hunting and fishing territory at the entrance to the Zec Martin-Valin, in Saint-Fulgence, in the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean region. Perched at 620 metres of elevation, one of the highest points in the area, the territory reveals lakes as far as the eye can see and diverse wildlife. It holds 42 native brook-trout (speckled trout) lakes, said to be part of the Croissant Vermeil, the largest pure native-trout spawning area in Quebec, plus two lightly fished rivers. Here you can fish (American or European plan), hunt moose over two exclusive baited zones of 25 km² per party, and hunt black bear over baited sites. In summer a family package gives access to swimming, pedal boats, kayaks and paddleboards; in winter a guided off-trail snowmobile package is available by reservation. Lodging is in rustic round-log camps with old-time charm, with an on-site restaurant and a warm welcome from owners Jonathan, Josianne and Bernard.
