Esprit de l'Ours

About
A four-season outfitter at the gateway to the Far North, in the upper Lac Saint-Jean region, Esprit de l'Ours occupies a vast boreal territory of several thousand km² of forests, lakes and rivers. At the heart of the estate, a log-cabin forest lodge offers full-board stays and cooking built around local products through the seasons. Here you can hunt moose (on private land, two exclusive zones, one animal per group), black bear in spring (mid-May to late June, baited sites, a guide with 20+ years of experience), waterfowl and small game (snow goose, Canada goose, ducks, spruce grouse, hare) and wolf on a winter expedition (November to late March, by snowmobile and snowshoe). For fishing: pike, walleye, ouananiche, brook trout and lake trout. Beyond hunting and fishing, a full range of outdoor activities: water sports, hiking and snowshoeing, quad and snowmobile, dog sledding, rafting and tubing, plus cooking workshops. The welcome is personalized, groups are kept small, and packages are built to measure.
