About

Plein Ciel is an outfitter of passionate, experienced guides specializing in waterfowl hunting — greater snow goose and ducks — in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, on Isle-aux-Grues. Hunting stays run in the fall and spring, in the heart of the great migration: full hunting days, multiple sites chosen according to the winds, tides and flocks, exclusive territories for your group, comfortable shelters and hides, side-by-side track transport, thousands of decoys and full equipment, experienced guides and retriever dogs. Lodging is in a fully equipped ancestral farmhouse — a former dependency of the McPherson manor — at the north-east point of the island, at the entrance of the tidal flat (upper marsh), with views on three sides. The house (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, sleeps up to 10) is also available as a vacation rental, with access to the outfitter's grounds.
