Le Domaine du Shamrock

For more than 75 years, Domaine du Shamrock has been one of Quebec's best-known outfitters. This exclusive-rights territory, 20 km north of the village of Les Escoumins on the Côte-Nord, holds more than 40 lakes of wild native brook trout with no competing species, an annual catch potential of 35,000 fish, and several lakes reachable directly by car — the fishing is so good that no guide is needed. The territory is also outstanding for moose hunting (above-average success rate), black bear and small game (partridge, hare), with blinds and tree stands already installed. The 15 cabins, sleeping groups of 2 to 24, are fully equipped: electricity, shower and hot water, separate bedrooms, BBQ, fridge, stove, cookware, and WiFi at the welcome post and cabins 1 to 5. A lovely natural beach, pedal boats and kayaks, hiking trails, wild-berry picking, a children's playground, and the option of whale-watching cruises on the St. Lawrence also make it a dream spot for family holidays and ATV enthusiasts.
