About

Domaine sportif du Lac Loup, one of the Vacances Essipit outfitters, offers an experience in the heart of the forest on an exclusive-rights territory. Fishing for indigenous brook trout (speckled trout) — average trout 6 to 12 inches, quota of 20 trout per licence — is done from the provided 14-foot aluminum boats, with a fish smokehouse and a trout shack on site. The domain also offers big-game hunting: moose hunting via weekly exclusive-territory rental (group of 2 to 4 hunters, quota of 1 animal per 2 hunters) and black bear hunting by request. The outfitter's nine chalets are all equipped with a dock giving direct access to the lake. For outdoor recreation: swimming, pedal boat, canoe, kayak, rabaska canoe, hiking on maintained trails, wildlife watching, cycling and ATV, a children's playground and a scenic site. A traditional Innu site nearby enriches the stay.
