About
Todds Camp Mckenzie is a small island fishing camp run by a fisherman, set on an island in the middle section of Lake Kipawa in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Four simple, quiet cabins welcome anglers: electric lights, refrigerator, propane heater, propane stove and oven, a fully equipped kitchen, a propane BBQ, cold running water, a private outhouse and a shared shower house. A fish-cleaning house is available to guests. Lake Kipawa offers outstanding fishing for walleye (blue and yellow), northern pike, lake trout, smallmouth bass and whitefish. Fourteen-foot aluminum boats with 15 HP outboards and fish finders can be rented on site, with round-trip transportation from the Kipawa parking area included. The camp is open from late May to late October and is fully self-catering: bring your own groceries, bedding and fishing gear.

Per person, taxes included, read from /pricing on 2026-09-21: CAD $500 per person for the first two guests, then CAD $250 per additional guest (total subject to cabin capacity). Children 16 and under stay free when accompanied by two paying adults. A further 25% discount applies to a second week booked in the same calendar year. Check-in Saturday at noon, check-out Friday at 9:00 am. Boat rental (CAD $500) is not included.

The camp sits on an island in the middle section of Lake Kipawa and is reached by boat. Guests park at Kipawa Parking, across the road from the Bucher Marina; parking can be prepaid online (kipawa-parking.myshopify.com) or paid in cash on site via the lockbox, with a 10% discount for camp guests (code provided after booking confirmation). 2026 overnight parking rates: CAD $20 per night for one vehicle and trailer, CAD $100 per week (7 days), CAD $200 per month, CAD $250 for the full summer season. Round-trip transportation between Kipawa Parking and the camp (14½ scenic miles each way) is included for guests renting a boat. Bait is sold in Kipawa or at Pro Nature in Temiscaming; worms and leeches are permitted, but minnows may not be used as bait on the lake.
