Loon and Eagle is a family-run fishing outfitter on Lake Kipawa, at Laniel in western Quebec, entirely surrounded by Crown land. The lake is known for its trophy catches: walleye (including blue walleye, some reaching 32 inches), northern pike (often topping 40 inches), lake trout, smallmouth bass and whitefish, amid abundant wildlife (moose, marten, beaver, mink). The Loon cabin ('Cottage 1') overlooks Loon bay: a furnished 2-bedroom cabin sleeping up to 5, with a full kitchen, a 3-piece bathroom with hot water, wood stove, BBQ, outdoor fish fryer, fire pit, WIFI and cell service, and a deck with a lake view. Beyond fishing: kayaking and canoeing, hiking, ATV trails, mountain biking, wildlife watching and evenings by the fire. Lodging is European-plan (self-catered: bring your own food and drinking water). Your hosts, Chris and Vivian, are living their dream of running a fishing camp after more than 23 years coming to Lake Kipawa.
