About

At the heart of a vast 110 km² territory in the Mauricie, Pourvoirie Waban-Aki is a fishing, hunting and outdoor paradise run as a family business since 2008 by Katerine LeCavalier and Bruno Caron, who live on-site year-round with their three children. Two rivers and around twenty lakes hold native and stocked brook trout, and Lac Collet holds splake (truite moulac); rigorous management and spawning-bed improvements keep the fishing excellent from spring through summer. For hunting, the territory has 8 exclusive moose sectors of 10+ km² each, a renowned bear hunt (American plan, 30+ baited sites with blinds, access to the Réserve faunique du Saint-Maurice territory) and small-game hunting on a game-rich, lightly hunted territory. Lodging is in comfortable cabins and getaway Wabanadôme domes, with free-access kayak and paddleboard, a game room and, depending on the season, dog-sledding excursions and horseback rides.
