Pourvoirie Domaine Touristique La Tuque spreads across a 127.5 km² exclusive-rights territory in zone 26, in the Mauricie, with 24 lakes, 15 of them easily reached by car. You fish for Arctic char and brook trout (speckled trout), up to 10 trout per fishing right, and the stocking programme sustains excellent fishing; a guided visit to a headwater lake, two catches maximum, is included in the fishing package. The territory is divided into 10 moose-hunting sectors (minimum four hunters per sector) and also offers the spring black bear hunt from a blind over a baited site, plus small-game hunting — partridge and hare — on four laid-out trails. Lodging is 15 fully equipped chalets sleeping up to 19 people, renovated in 2022 and now air-conditioned. The Oasis du repos, a pavilion with a heated indoor pool, hot tubs, sauna, fitness room and conference room, is included in every plan with lodging. For families, the lakes are made for swimming, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking and pedal boating, and the site adds cycling, hiking trails, wild-berry picking, birdwatching and an animal park. Winter brings ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, a magnificent irrigated tube slide down the mountain and off-trail snowmobile trails. The outfitter is reachable by car year-round.
