Pourvoirie Club Hosanna

About
Pourvoirie Club Hosanna is a family business founded in 1936 by Hosanna Cournoyer, acquired by Michel Béland in 1989 and now run by his son Max Béland (at the helm since 2017), with a third generation already lending a hand. Located in Trois-Rives, in the Mattawin sector of the Mauricie region, along the Saint-Maurice River, the outfitter spans more than 110 km² of forest and counts 30 fishable lakes (brook trout, lake trout, rainbow trout). It offers 26 chalets and refuges (2 to 12 people, rated 4 and 5 stars by the Fédération des pourvoiries du Québec), split across two sectors: Hosanna, more accessible and open year-round, home to the reception building, and Natisk, more rustic and remote, open three seasons. The main activity is trout fishing, offered as a package with chalet lodging. Moose hunting (bulls only) is practised on an exclusive territory laid out with trails and blinds; small-game hunting (ruffed grouse, woodcock) and a spring black bear hunt round out the offering. In winter, the outfitter offers snowmobiling, a vintage snow coach, dog sledding, ice fishing, snowshoeing over 50 km of trails and a trapper's museum; in summer and fall, swimming, a mini-farm, watercraft (canoe, kayak, paddleboard, rowboat) and a fishing introduction for kids are offered, with several activities free for guests staying on site. The outfitter has been a repeat laureate of the Gala reconnaissance de Mékinac (tourism and lodging, family business, entrepreneurial succession) between 2007 and 2016.
