About

Pourvoirie du Lac Lareau spreads over more than 181 km² of exclusive-rights territory in the Haute-Mauricie, taking in 89 lakes and a river. Renowned for its native brook trout, exceptional in both quality and quantity, it has drawn anglers for more than 74 years. The vast territory, laced with over 200 km of trails, welcomes more than two thousand sportspeople every year for fishing, hunting (black bear, moose on exclusive territories of about 15 km², small game — spruce grouse, ruffed grouse, hare), kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and wild-berry picking. Lodging is in rustic log cabins with lake views or in rooms at the round-log Pavillon (17 rooms, lounge with fireplace, large dining room), all on the European plan and equipped with electricity, internet, firewood and toiletries. Access is by three forest roads, as well as by floatplane and helicopter.
