About

Pourvoirie du lac Lareau stretches across 181 km² of exclusive-rights territory in Haute-Mauricie, a vast expanse gathering 89 lakes and a river laced with more than 200 km of trails. Renowned for over 74 years for the abundance of its fish and game, it is one of the largest exclusive-rights territories in Quebec. Native brook trout rule these waters, in quality and in quantity. For hunting, you can pursue black bear, moose — on exclusive territories of about 15 km² — and small game (spruce grouse, ruffed grouse, hare), in Zone 28. Lodging is in rustic log cabins with lake views (European plan), or in the history-rich log pavilion, which hosts up to 58 people in 17 bedrooms and suits weddings, receptions and corporate retreats. Electricity, internet, firewood and hygiene products are provided. Beyond fishing and hunting, the territory lends itself to kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and wild-berry picking.
