About

A sport-fishing houseboat specialist for more than 20 years, Pourvoirie Rivière La Galette offers a fleet of seven floating chalets on Réservoir Gouin in the Mauricie — a body of water of 1,789 km² with more than 275 km of navigable waterways, renowned for the abundance and size of its yellow walleye and northern pike from May to September. The houseboats, in three classes (standard, deluxe and VIP), let you cruise and fish completely on your own: fitted with a propane kitchen and BBQ, a solar-powered fridge and lighting, toilet, shower and hot water, a pilot station with sonar, GPS and bathymetric chart, and powered by 40-to-50 hp Mercury 4-stroke motors (cruising speed about 10 km/h). The Magnan, Brochu and Portage bays are among the best fishing spots. European plan (self-catering), self-guided; guide service, boats, motors and portable sonar available to rent. The VIP class is reached by floatplane.
