About
Pourvoirie du Lac Blanc is a family vacation center located in the village of Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, on the boundary between the Mauricie and Lanaudière regions. Set on a mountainous 3,500-hectare territory dotted with twelve lakes, the outfitter is above all a fishing destination: its lakes are stocked with brook trout (10 to 14 inches, with trophies of 2 to 4 pounds at Lac Petit Rancho), trophy rainbow trout of 3 to 5 pounds at Lac Roche, and northern pike and smallmouth bass at Lac Blanc (catch-and-release mandatory). Fishing is done by the day or as a stay, with or without a guide, from a rowboat (gas motors prohibited). In winter, ice fishing takes over, rounded out by a range of activities: snowmobiling, dog sledding, snowshoeing with a trapper, clay pigeon shooting, helicopter flights and an aquatic center. Lodging comes as rooms at the inn (Campagnard, Supérieure, Classique) and as fully equipped cabins (from the spacious 12-person Chalet to the Loutre, Familial and Rustique cabins), with an on-site restaurant, half-board packages and seasonal activity passports.
