Pourvoirie Québec Nature

About
In the heart of the Monts-Valin, in the Saguenay, Pourvoirie Québec Nature operates a vast 80 km² exclusive-rights territory dotted with 45 lakes, renowned for its native speckled brook trout, among the largest specimens in Quebec. Fishing is by fly or light spinning on the grand lac Portneuf (14 km of bays and islands), on about fifteen small lakes and on the Portneuf River (a fly-only sector), with boat, motor and gas included and a 15-trout quota. For hunting, the exclusive territory offers moose (from built blinds or by ATV over nearly 100 km of trails, opening a week ahead of the provincial zone), spring black bear (100% bear-sighting rate per baited site, in combo with fishing) and small game (ruffed grouse, spruce grouse, hare). The 4-star lodging includes a 5-bedroom inn (10 beds) with a lakeview dining room and a choice of fully-equipped log cabins (running water, hot water, shower, fridge, propane stove, BBQ, wood stove, fish-cleaning shelter). European, semi-American and American plans are offered, with French cuisine prepared from local products. In winter, the outfitter becomes a renowned snowmobiling destination (snow accumulations of 5 to 7 metres) and an ice-fishing spot. Summer family activities: mountain biking, hiking, ATV (80+ km), pontoon, pedalo and kayak.
