About

Pourvoirie de la Doré spreads across a 245 km² wilderness in the heart of Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, dotted with 135 lakes, 2 rivers and many streams. Fishing is the flagship activity: brook trout (speckled trout) and lake trout (grey trout), from May to September. The territory also offers hunting for moose, black bear and small game (ruffed grouse, hare, partridge), on a European or American plan. Lodging is in about twenty fully equipped chalets (wood heat, full kitchen, bathroom with hot water): a dozen on the main site, steps from the restaurant, bar and lake-view terrace, plus several chalets in isolated territory for complete quiet. On site: a French-cuisine restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner), boat rentals, hiking and foraging trails, and snowmobile packages in winter. An ATV is needed to reach some lakes and sectors.
