Pourvoirie Péribonka — the Peribonka Lodge run by Bucky Adams Outdoors — is the only camp on a lake more than 40 miles long, ringed by over 300 miles of shoreline, deep in the Mont-Valin wilderness in zone 28 of the Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean. The camp lives off two seasons. In spring, guided black bear hunting over baited sites, in 6-day, 6-night packages, with meals prepared by a full-time cook and daily transportation out to the stands. In summer, American-plan fishing: northern pike, lake trout, native brook trout and splake, with boats and motors provided and one guide for every three anglers. Four cabins host groups from June 1 to October 15. On site: bedding provided, freezer and ice, a fish smokehouse, an outdoor hot tub, battery charging, motor rental, a barbecue and emergency communications. Far from everything, you come here for a lake you have to yourself and for some of the densest bear country in Québec.
