Tucked away in Saint-Zénon, in the north of the beautiful Lanaudière region, Pourvoirie Pavillon Basilières is a family-run outfitter known for its warm welcome. Its exclusive-rights leased territory spreads over 20 km² and holds six wild lakes stocked year-round with brook and rainbow trout — it's hard to come back empty-handed here! The specialty is trout fishing with a cabin stay: you'll chase brook trout (9 to 14 inches, in every lake), rainbow trout, and occasionally brown trout and splake on lac Bernard. Twelve comfortable cabins, all reachable by car, host 2 to 13 people depending on the unit, equipped with propane and solar power (fridge, stove, wood stove, shower and hot water, BBQ), with one rowboat per two anglers included. Day fishing is also offered on lac Bernard. In winter, two cabins (Belvédère and Falaise) stay open for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing as an add-on. On site: walking trails, bird-observation points, and the VitaForêt workshop on non-timber forest products. Owners: Sébastien Borgeaud and Corinne Paris.

Special from July 1: 4 nights / 4 adults = 10% off. 2-night minimum; minimum occupancy varies by cabin (2 to 8 adults depending on the unit and the period). Includes lodging, the fishing right and one rowboat per 2 paying people. Species: brook trout (majority, 9-14 inches in all lakes), rainbow trout (minority), brown trout and splake occasionally on lac Bernard (brown trout has no vocab slug - not mapped). Limit of 15 trout per adult per stay, no catch-and-release. Cabin water NON-potable. Lakes stocked weekly in May-June then every 2 weeks.

One-night non-refundable deposit per reservation ($350 Belvédère, $700 Falaise). Dates weather-dependent. No running water or shower in winter (shower at the welcome lodge, 3 km away). Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling possible. Ice fishing available only as an add-on to a stay. Maximum two parties on the whole territory.

Access : By road
Road access; all cabins are reachable by car. From the welcome lodge it's about 15 minutes more to your cabin. No check-in or check-out on Saturdays; afternoon arrivals (4pm), morning departures (11am). In winter, access to the two open cabins is by snowmobile (you may bring your own).
