Founded in 1934, Pourvoirie Domaine Bazinet is one of the oldest and most popular outfitters in Quebec, set at 1,800 feet of elevation in Sainte-Émélie-de-l'Énergie, in the Lanaudière region. Its 19 km² territory of lakes, rivers, streams, waterfalls and mountains is known for its brook-trout and rainbow-trout fishing — lakes stocked every week, summer and winter, with no nuisance species or predatory fish, where the fishing stays excellent even in midsummer. Beyond fishing, it is a true family outdoor centre: beach, kayaks, pedal boats, paddleboards, water slides, hiking trails, a petting farm, a lookout and a 100-foot waterfall, and in winter a lit skating rink, snowshoe trails, tube slides, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Lodging ranges from rooms in the mountain inn to 25 fully equipped lakeside cabins (2 to 12 people). The outfitter also offers moose hunting on 4 exclusive territories in zone 15 and small-game hunting. A family business run by Cindy, Francis, Benoit and Marielle.
