About

Tucked into the Lanaudière mountains, on Route 131 in Saint-Zénon, Pourvoirie St-Zénon is a family fishing destination that has been running for more than 50 years. Its clear lakes — including Lac Bois Franc, stocked weekly with over 35,000 trout — teem with speckled and rainbow trout for fishing that suits everyone, from first-timer to regular. Come for the day — a numbered rowboat from 06:30, generous quotas and tips from the staff anglers — or for a stay, in one of the 9 chalets alone on a lake or the 6 chalets on Lac Bois Franc (2 to 19 people, European plan), at the campground (4 sites with electricity and a sanitary block), or at the Refuge du Vagabond perched on the mountaintop beside the astronomical observatory. In summer, kayak and paddleboard are loaned free with any lodging package; in winter, it's ice fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Owned by Sylvia Masson and Magalie Dionne since 2019, the outfitter keeps a warm, family feel built for memorable getaways in nature.
