Pourvoirie Mekoos

Pourvoirie Mekoos, in the Hautes-Laurentides near Mont-Laurier, spreads across a vast wilderness with 346 km² of exclusive hunting territory and more than 135 lakes for fishing. It is one of the three largest outfitters in Quebec. For fishing, you'll find brook trout, lake trout, walleye and northern pike — all indigenous and unstocked, often with a single boat per body of water for quiet fishing — with a choice of 50+ lakes. For hunting, moose, white-tailed deer, black bear and small game thrive on a territory managed for more than half a century, with experienced guides and an excellent success rate. Lodging includes 11 rustic chalets and rooms at the inn, on a European or American meal plan. In winter, the outfitter offers snowmobile, dog-sledding, snowshoe and ice-fishing packages. ATV rides, sauna and a Nordic bath round out the experience. Run by the Dumoulin family.
