About

Established in 1960 on the beautiful Réservoir Gouin, Pourvoirie Marmette-sur-le-Gouin invites fishing and hunting enthusiasts to explore the Marmette bay territory in real comfort with personalized service. The water, famous for its 'trophy' walleye and big northern pike, can be enjoyed from a cabin or aboard one of the fleet's five houseboats (56 ft × 23 ft, 4 to 11 people), which let you cruise to sandy beaches and sheltered, fish-rich spots out of the wind. For lodging, eight cabins are spread across the Marmette bay sectors: six are reachable by vehicle, the others by boat, each fitted with a propane kitchen, a bathroom with shower, a wood stove and a dock. The outfitter also offers black bear hunting (6-night stay, with or without fishing) and guiding service on request. On site: freezer, fish-cleaning table, WiFi at the reception. European plan (self-catering). Catch limits at Marmette: 8 walleye (32 to 47 cm) and 10 pike per angler.

Access : By road

Road access (per the 'Directions' page). From Mont-Saint-Michel: Route 309, turn right onto Chemin de Parent; at km 80 turn left (toward Parent, Lu-Nic snack bar), then at km 106 turn right (about 2 h). From La Tuque: Boulevard Ducharme, Rue Saint-Joseph, Rue Bostonnais, then Chemin Moisan (Route 25) toward Parent (about 2 h). From Parent to the outfitter (about 1 h): at the Magasin Général Parent (gas station), turn left toward Chemin de Clova, cross the railway; at km 31 turn right, at km 51 (Camp Kawai) keep right, at km 58 turn right, then left at km 0.7, right at km 6.9, right at km 5 and continue for 6 km. A train runs to Parent (1 h drive from the outfitter). Some cabins are reachable only by boat.
