Pourvoirie le Rêve du Chasseur is a family-run hunting outfitter operated by Octave Ferland in Lac-Frontière, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region, along the US border. The territory is richly populated with moose, white-tailed deer and mature black bears. Hunters pursue big game with bow and rifle on grounds the owner — a true enthusiast — takes guests to scout during the summer, plus black bear in spring (June) over baited sites. Lodging is in hunting pavilions that sleep 6 to 8 hunters (2 to 4 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower and tub); Octave also welcomes guests at his home, in a fitted-out annex that's ideal for talking hunting. Blinds are provided and sites are baited.
