About

Set deep in the boreal forest north of Dolbeau, in the Lac-Saint-Jean region, Pourvoirie la Jeannoise has been run since 2006 by Karine and Sylvain. The exclusive-rights territory holds more than 45 lakes spread across 90 km² (the site's welcome page mentions 54 lakes). Every package includes cabin lodging and fishing rights. Here you can fish for brook trout, ouananiche (landlocked salmon), pike and lake whitefish (access to up to two lakes per day), and hunt moose, black bear and small game (ruffed grouse, hare, spruce grouse), on groomed trails with blinds and salt licks. Bird and wildlife watching and ATV rides on trails suited to every level are also on offer. Lodging is in one of the 10 fully equipped cabins (wood fireplace, propane, fridge, BBQ; running water that is NOT potable; electricity from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.), for parties of 2 to 10 people.
