Pourvoirie du Lac-Beauport offers an accessible, family-friendly trout fishing experience in the greater Quebec City region. The lake is abundantly stocked with rainbow and speckled trout, and suits beginner and experienced anglers alike — no personal experience or licence is required, since the operator holds its own fishing-pond licence. Fishing is available both summer and winter, and the daily access fee also unlocks several kilometres of hiking trails, ideal for a family picnic. Equipment and bait are available for purchase on site, and the on-site guides are happy to answer visitors' questions. Every winter, in partnership with La Meute Nocturne, the outfitter also offers dog-sledding excursions through snow-covered forests, led by experienced mushers. Visitors may also meet the site's mascots, Alvin, Dex, Shadow and Shuk.
