Parc Naturel Régional DE Portneuf

About

Parc naturel régional de Portneuf spreads across more than 70 km² of public and private land around the Sainte-Anne River and the majestic Lakes Long and Montauban, in the Portneuf region. People come to stay in a fully equipped or rustic cabin, a refuge, a ready-to-camp tent, or one of roughly a hundred rustic camping sites — including canoe-camping sites reachable only by water. The land unfolds across more than 70 km of hiking trails, lookouts (Lac Carillon, Montagne de la Tour), a canoe-kayak and stand-up-paddle network, an inflatable-raft descent of the Sainte-Anne River, and the adventure tour of the Trou du Diable cave in Saint-Casimir. Anglers go after brook trout, Arctic char, lake trout, smallmouth bass and yellow perch on stocked lakes, while the Lac Long walls draw climbers. In winter, the Park turns to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. A former hydroelectric station rounds out the visit.
