Pourvoirie Baroux, in Amherst in the Laurentians, spreads over more than 22 km² in the heart of Zone 10 Est, around eight lakes — Barrière, Du Cap, Verrat, Renversis, Des Îles, Long, Vinet and Croche. Above all it is a family fishing destination: brook trout, rainbow trout, grey (lake) trout and Arctic char can be fished by the day (Thursday to Monday) or over a stay, with four boat ramps, eight angler shelters and several hiking trails. Guests stay in twelve fully equipped cabins and a studio (European plan), with fishing rights included in the lodging rates, from a two-night minimum. Hunting is on exclusive territory in Zone 10 Est — moose and white-tailed deer (crossbow, bow, shotgun and rifle depending on the fall periods) — plus an organized group pheasant hunt on weekends. On site: canoe, kayak, pedal boat, pool, playgrounds and trails, with no ATVs allowed. Youth and group packages make day fishing accessible to families.
