About

On the waters of Réservoir Gouin, Pourvoirie Baie de l'Est is a fishing camp reachable only by floatplane. Anglers pursue yellow walleye and northern pike from mid-May to mid-September, among a string of islands with rocky shores and weed-filled bays. The chalets, spread around the water and reached by boat, are set up on the European plan: propane stove, solar-powered fridge-freezer, oil heating, running (non-potable) water, shower and toilet. Fishing is done from provided 15-foot aluminum boats with swivel seats and Yamaha 15 hp motors. The outfitter also offers moose hunting through the Jesmer and Tibériade outfitters, two large exclusive territories divided into 23 managed sub-territories in zone 14, with private cabins, tree stands and aerial monitoring. A warm, personalized stay made for unwinding: sunsets, blueberry picking and a fresh-walleye shore lunch on the beach.
