Pourvoirie Baie de l'Est sits in the south-central part of the majestic Gouin Reservoir, where eight cabins have been built, each in its own bay for absolute tranquility. Formerly known as Cargair Outfitter, it is part of the network of outfitters served by seaplane from the Lake Tibériade hydrobase in Sainte-Véronique. The reservoir, dotted with islands, beaches and bays, offers renowned walleye and northern pike fishing from mid-May to mid-September: walleye pits, pike bays and grass beds near the cabins, with rocky shores and sandy points. The cabins are fully equipped (propane stove, solar fridge and freezer, oil heating, non-potable running water, shower and toilet), and the 15-foot aluminum boats are powered by 15 hp motors with swivel seats. The outfitter also offers moose hunting through the Jesmer and Tibériade outfitters, two exclusive territories subdivided into managed sub-territories reachable by seaplane, with strategically positioned hunting blinds. The setting also invites relaxation: wildlife watching, sunrises and sunsets, blueberry picking and a fresh-walleye shore lunch on a beach.
