Le Domaine Shannon

About
Le Domaine Shannon is a family-run hunting and fishing outfitter set in the heart of a 335 km² mixed-forest territory dotted with about thirty lakes, in the Outaouais region — between the Cabonga and Baskatong reservoirs, east of Parc de la Vérendrye. Renowned for walleye fishing (specimens averaging 2 to 3 pounds, sometimes over 10), pike (up to 25 pounds and more) and brook trout, the territory also offers moose hunting on exclusive territories, bear hunting over baited sites and small-game hunting, all with an excellent success rate. Lodging comprises a main lodge with dining room and bar, 18 comfortable, well-equipped chalets (electricity, propane stove, hot water, indoor shower and toilet, bedding and dishes provided) and remote hunting-and-fishing camps deep in the forest; stays are offered on the American or European plan. A family outfitter since 1969, Le Domaine Shannon has welcomed thousands of visitors over more than 55 years.
