Forant Lake Outfitter spreads over more than 15,000 acres of private, exclusive land in the Pontiac, with 10 lakes and over 60 km of private trails. Fishing is the headline draw: trophy lake trout in Forant and Resolin lakes, stocked speckled trout and northern pike, fished from boat, shore, canoe or kayak. On the hunting side, the outfitter is known for its bow-only black bear hunts — longbow, recurve, compound and crossbow — with one or two baited sites per hunter, for moose hunting on an exclusive territory of up to 7,500 acres with very few groups welcomed each season, and for partridge hunting over a strong population on the property. Five off-grid waterfront cabins and cottages sleep 6 to 10, some with air conditioning and Starlink wifi, and camping is available too. Sandy beaches, a boat launch, canoeing and paddleboarding, ATV and snowmobile trails and wildlife watching round out the days that aren't about the hunt. Stays are on the European plan: bring your own food. Hunting and fishing take place in Zone 12.
