About

Forant Lake Outfitter (Pourvoirie du Lac Forant) is a private, exclusive property of more than 15,000 acres in the Pontiac, Outaouais (Zone 12), with 10 lakes and over 60 km of private trails. It offers fishing for trophy lake trout, speckle (brook) trout and northern pike, along with bow-only black bear hunting (longbow, recurve, compound and crossbow), moose hunting on exclusive territory (few groups per season, one bull moose per group) and partridge hunting over a high local population. Lodging is in off-grid cottages and cabins fitted with a toilet, shower and kitchen, with non-potable water from a hand pump; European (self-catered) plan. Camping and day fishing are also available. It is a destination built as much for families (sandy beaches, campfires, wildlife) as for anglers and hunters looking for space, quiet and the privacy of a true northern territory.
