About

Set in the heart of the Monts Valin, in the Saguenay region, Pourvoirie du Lac Laflamme offers exceptional fishing for wild, native-strain brook trout — the region being recognized as the largest reservoir of native trout in the world. The outfitter has more than 35 lakes easily reachable by car, including Lac Laflamme (39 km²); the operator reports landing several trout over 1 kg there every year. Lodging is in equipped chalets, available on the European plan (no meals) or the American plan (3 meals a day included), including a VIP chalet (8 to 12 people) and the L'Aurore Boréale chalet. The lightly used territory also allows big- and small-game hunting (90% success rate on big game, limited number of hunters), as well as observing the wildlife, flora and beavers, picking berries and mushrooms, shore lunches, and water activities (swimming, kayaking, pedal boats, paddle boards).
