About

Pourvoirie Kanawata stretches across 77 km² of wild country on the shore of majestic Lac Manouane, north of Saint-Michel-des-Saints in the Lanaudière region. Its 27 lakes, carefully managed against overfishing, make it a quality fishing destination, while the exclusive-rights territory hosts guided bear hunting over baited sites. Summer or winter, Kanawata is a vast playground: an ATV and snowmobile trail relay, a beach and swimming, kayaks and paddleboards, pontoon rentals, snowshoe walks and wildlife watching — the territory is even home to an osprey nesting area. You stay at the lakefront inn, in about ten rooms with a full private bathroom and Wi-Fi, or in one of the twelve freshly renovated chalets sleeping two to fifteen people. A restaurant-bar serves three-course meals and a snack-bar menu. Reachable by road (gravel roads) or by floatplane, wheeled aircraft and helicopter.
