About
On the shore of majestic Lac Manouane, north of Saint-Michel-des-Saints, Pourvoirie Kanawata spreads across a vast wild playground of 77 km² dotted with 27 lakes protected against overfishing. Fishing, bear hunting (exclusive-rights territory, pre-baited sites and a personal guide), quad and snowmobile riding on federated trails are at the heart of the offering, rounded out in summer by a shallow-water sand beach, free paddleboards and kayaks, and pontoons for rent; the territory even hosts an osprey (fish eagle) nesting zone. Lodging is at the lakefront inn (ten rooms with full bathroom and Wi-Fi) or in one of twelve fully equipped, freshly renovated chalets sleeping 2 to 15, with electric heat and a wood stove, pets welcome. A restaurant-bar serves three-course meals and a snack-bar menu, and a 1.2 km airstrip welcomes floatplanes, wheeled aircraft and helicopters. Location & access

Access : By road · Fly-in
Access via gravel forest roads from Saint-Michel-des-Saints (several routes via the ZEC du gros brochet, the Casey road, or through La Tuque via Route 155 South and the Zec Wessonneau gate). Do not rely on Google Maps on the forest road; all roads are gravel and some ZEC gates charge a passage fee. Call the outfitter for road conditions before leaving. Fuel available on site. Also reachable by air: a 1.2 km packed-earth airstrip (radio frequency 122.8) handling floatplanes, wheeled aircraft and helicopters; airport transfer service and air or helicopter transport on request (about 30 to 45 minutes' flight from Montreal).
