In the heart of the Hautes-Laurentides, Escapade Kiamika sits on a 200-acre estate bordered by the Rivière du Lièvre and dotted with three lakes — Pépère, Tomkin and Gaucher — plus more than 10 km of hiking trails through hilly terrain. The site carries on the story of the Domaine Kiamika outfitter, founded in 1938 by the Valiquette family and revived in 2021 by a new family team. Anglers fish walleye, northern pike and bass from the boat launches on the Rivière du Lièvre or on lakes Tomkin and Gaucher, where gas motors are banned to protect water quality. The hunting territory, in zone 10 east and partly exclusive, holds white-tailed deer and black bear, hunted from the Lac Gaucher chalet (6 hunters) or from the Chasse-Galerie camp and its bunkhouse (8 people). Lodging ranges from a small four-season chalet for two to a large family chalet sleeping seven, plus a rustic chalet alone on its own pristine lake and an exclusive-use group campsite in a bay of Lac Tomkin. Add rowboat, canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals, the 12 km Kiamika River descent with shuttle service, snowshoeing and nordic skiing in winter, and tailor-made guided stays for groups, families and artists.

Access : By road
Year-round road access via Route 311, a scenic road that runs alongside the estate in the Hautes-Laurentides. The reception building and most of the lodgings are reachable directly by car. The L'Oasis chalet, on Lac Gaucher, is 3.5 km from the reception building, on the boundary between the municipalities of Kiamika and Lac-du-Cerf: a road allows car access, but in winter the trip is made on snowshoes or skis. The Chasse-Galerie camp is up the mountain and is reached via the Montée à Jos-Montferrand. Access, boat-launch and parking fees apply (1-day parking for one vehicle $10; vehicle + trailer $15 per day or $20 for 2 days). There are three boat launches on the Rivière du Lièvre: one for motorboats, two reserved for kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. Kiamika municipal by-law: washing your boat is mandatory before navigating any waterway in the municipality; the municipal wash station is free and sits at the village rest stop next to the church, about a 10-minute drive from the launch — keep the dated wash certificate. Gas motors are banned on Lac Tomkin and Lac Gaucher. EV charging stations are available at some chalets. Cyclists can reach the site from the Petit Train du Nord bike path by taking Route 311 from Val-Barrette, or can request the shuttle service to avoid the secondary road. Nearest services: gas station and convenience store at Lac-du-Cerf (7 km), grocery store with an SAQ outlet at Kiamika (10 km).
