Pourvoirie du Club Claire spreads across a vast rolling 81.5 km² exclusive-rights territory, operated by Vacances Essipit (the Essipit Innu community, Côte-Nord). Some twenty natural lakes offer excellent fishing for native brook (speckled) trout, 6 to 12 inches, on Lac Cormier (across from the chalets) and many bodies of water, streams and rivers — a 20-trout quota per licence, with 14-foot boats provided. The mountainous terrain lets you combine fishing, hiking and moose hunting on an exclusive territory (groups of 2 to 4 hunters). Seven '4-star European plan' chalets (Shipu, Shapumin, Assi, Pishu, Mishtik, Atik, Nipish) welcome guests, fully equipped (propane stove, solar fridge and lighting, wood stove, BBQ, running non-potable water, indoor shower and toilet, screened veranda, private fire pit and dock). On site there is also swimming, pedal boats, canoeing, kayaking, hiking trails, wildlife watching, wild-berry picking, cycling and ATV. Pets allowed.
