Domaine du Lac St-Pierre

In the heart of the Lac Saint-Pierre World Biosphere Reserve — a Ramsar site where 288 resident and migratory bird species have been recorded — Domaine du Lac Saint-Pierre brings outfitting, camping and boat rental together on a single waterfront site at Louiseville, in the Mauricie. Guided fishing is done alongside a guide on one of Quebec's finest bodies of water, with walleye and sturgeon headlining, on 4-hour or 8-hour outings. In winter, ice fishing happens in a heated cabin rented by the day, by the season or by the year, with ten holes, ten lines, firewood and bait provided. In autumn, blinds set along the shores, right on the flight line of migrating ducks, host the duck hunt (bag limit: 6 ducks a day), and a one-night white-tailed deer hunt is also offered. On the water, you can explore 'Les Bayous du Nord' — the marshes, flooded forest and channels of the archipelago — on a 2-hour guided safari, or head out on your own by motorboat, canoe, kayak, pedal boat or paddleboard. For lodging there are four waterfront formulas: campsites with or without services, fully equipped glamping tents (king bed, kitchen, bathroom, terrace and outdoor fire pit), CoolBox tiny cabins and a fully equipped chalet-loft. Le Bayou, the bar on the water, rounds out the stay. Guided snowmobiling, personal watercraft and dog sledding are also on the cold-season programme.
