Pourvoirie du Domaine du Lac Bernier owes its reputation to its 3 km-long lake, part of the ancestral Innu lands of Essipit. Lac Bernier offers sport fishing on protected territory where native brook trout (speckled trout / omble de fontaine, averaging 6 to 12 inches) is abundant all season, with a quota of 20 trout per licence and no catch-and-release. The territory also offers moose hunting on exclusive territories rented by the week (groups of 2 to 4 hunters, 1 animal per 2 hunters) as well as canoeing, kayaking, pedal-boating, swimming, hiking, wildlife watching and biking/ATV. Two comfortable, intimate 4-star cabins (European plan, 2 to 8 people, lake views, solar fridges and lighting, wood stove) offer an authentic and relaxing experience. 14 ft boats provided; on-site fish-smoking service.

Road access. Reception and check-in at Essipit (booking and registration before heading to the territory). Check-in 4 pm, check-out 11 am. Credit cards are not accepted in the bush. Open fires require the on-site warden's authorization.
