Domaine du Canyon

About
Pourvoirie du Domaine du Canyon is a family venture (Nicole and Jean-Philippe Gagnon, since 2010) in the heart of the vast Haute-Côte-Nord, in the backcountry northwest of Forestville. Anglers fish for native brook trout (20 to 45 cm) on roughly 35 lakes, most under 1 km long and mostly reachable by vehicle. On the hunting side, the exclusive territory hosts moose hunting (salt licks, blinds and tree stands, one moose per party), small game (hare, partridge and woodcock) and a combined black-bear-hunt-and-fishing package. Lodging is nine 4-star-classified cabins grouped along the shore of Lac Atisocagamac, holding groups of 2 to 12 people depending on cabin size, on the European plan. On site, free of charge: canoes, pedal boats, kayaks, swimming, hiking trails, wildlife and nature watching, wild-berry picking, children's play areas and access to the waterfall (waterfall massage by reservation).
