Domaine Batchelder

Domaine Batchelder is an outfitter in St-Roch-de-Mékinac, in the Mauricie region, set on 7 lakes (Château, Ruth, Weare, Château Est, Castor, Grand Fontaine and Croche). You fish for brook (speckled) trout on 6 lakes, one of them with an indigenous strain, and for rainbow trout on 1 lake; boats (rowboat and oars) are provided on every lake. Lodging includes 6 private cabins for 2 to 6 people plus a large communal camp that sleeps up to 16, on the shore of Lac Château and wheelchair accessible. The cabins are fully equipped (propane stove and fridge, hot water, shower, wood heating with wood supplied, outdoor BBQ and covered fire pit); the water is non-potable and sold on site. The domain also offers firearm hunting, hiking and ATV riding. Packages are available during the summer season.
