L'Aventurier du Gouin is a Mauricie outfitter specializing in walleye and northern pike fishing on Réservoir Gouin, serving its guests since 1999. Set on an island in the heart of the reservoir — more than 275 km of navigable waterway and many white-sand beaches — the outfitter is reachable only by water and air: a 26-foot covered boat brings you in about twenty minutes from the parking lot. Each 4-star log cabin sits apart from the others for privacy; the log-built inn hosts up to 18 people with quality cuisine and a liquor licence, and a modern houseboat (2 bedrooms, up to 6 people) lets you follow the best fishing spots. Packages cover cabin, inn, houseboat and bush-pilot fishing, guided excursions, and an all-inclusive gastronomy package with chef Francis Côté's food-and-wine pairings. Pets are welcome in the cabins. Open from mid-May to mid-September.

Outfitter on an island in Réservoir Gouin, Parent (Québec) area, reachable only by water and air. By boat: a 26-foot covered boat handles the transfer from the outfitter's parking lot to the property (about 20 minutes). By floatplane: three departure bases are offered — Clova, La Tuque and Ste-Véronique (Cessna 185, Beaver or Otter depending on load); fares on request. Outfitter GPS coordinates: 48° 34′ 45′ N, 74° 32′ 50′ W.
