About

Club du Lac Victor sits on a 251.5 km² exclusive-rights territory in the heart of the unspoiled boreal forest of the Côte-Nord, between the Natashquan and Aguanus rivers, in the Natashquan area of Minganie. The territory holds 34 lakes (22 of them still unexplored and 9 larger than 100 hectares) and 7 rivers, with over 380 km of shoreline and lakes navigable in all weather. Known for its fishing quality thanks to very low pressure (a maximum of 12 anglers per period), it is home to five wild native species that can reach trophy sizes: landlocked salmon/ouananiche (2-9 lb), Arctic char (2-8 lb), brook trout (1/2-4 lb), lake (grey) trout (2-12 lb) and northern pike (5-24 lb), fished with lures or flies. It also offers hunting stays for black bear, moose, white-tailed deer, small game and migratory birds, as well as discovery, exploration and Innu-culture immersion stays (hiking, mountain biking, canoe routes, wildlife observation). Lodging is in 3-to-4-star log cabins or an Innu camp on a sand beach, on the American plan, with Indigenous and non-Indigenous guide service available. The site is reached by floatplane or by portage from Natashquan, an experience of about 3 hours along the centuries-old Innu portages.
