Camps Lac-aux-Sables

Established in Belleterre since 1938, Sand Lake Cabins (Camps Lac aux Sables) opens onto the region's many lakes — more than 20 fish-rich lakes, all within a half-hour drive. Fishing here goes after walleye, pike and trout, and Lac aux Sables itself is full of walleye and pike. On the hunting side, the camp offers all-inclusive moose (in groups of two hunters) and black bear packages: lodging in an equipped cabin, transport to the hunting ground, permits and professional guides, with site preparation, evisceration aid and access to a cold room. Eight cottages line the lake, priced for two adults (four for cottage #4) and rented by the week or by the night, on the European plan. There is also a remote outpost, the 'Swamp Camp', reached by forestry road and quad — four beds, wood stove, refrigerator, lighting — for hunting and fishing, plus a canoe-kayak circuit of four routes totalling more than 100 km, with shuttle and guiding. Boat, motor and canoe rentals, life jackets, premixed gas and ice are available on site.
