About

Pavillon Wapus, a family business for more than 50 years, runs a 272 km² exclusive territory north of Maniwaki (zone 14), in the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve. It is a one-of-a-kind outfitter where you can land walleye, pike, brook trout and grey trout all on the same trip, with access to more than 30 lakes. The central lodge (kitchen, dining room, reception) is surrounded by ten recent (4-star) cabins on the shores of Lac Christina, with a heated in-ground pool; remote cabins (solar-powered) are reachable by vehicle, boat or seaplane. On the hunting side, Wapus offers moose hunting on exclusive territories of about 10 km² each (a single moose per group, ~90% returning clients), bear hunting over roughly 50 baited sites (success rate ~95%) and small-game hunting (partridge, hare, woodcock). American plan available, with guiding and filleting services offered.
