About

In the heart of the Haute-Mauricie, Relais 22 Milles is a year-round hub linking the Outaouais, Saguenay—Lac-Saint-Jean and Haute-Mauricie regions. Founded more than 60 years ago as a logging camp — its name recalls the 22 miles (about 35 km) that separated it from the Windigo rail station — it now offers dining, lodging (19 rooms in single or double occupancy), refuelling and roadside assistance. In winter, for snowmobilers riding the Trans-Québec 83 trail, it remains the only fuel stop between Saguenay and La Tuque, with access to 340+ km of federated trails and a multitude of unmarked trails. For the outdoors: all-inclusive bear-hunt packages (baited sites) and small-game hunt packages, guided off-trail snowmobile rides, and soon quad and moto circuits, river canoeing, wild camping and introductory activities. The relais also has a restaurant (à la carte menu and table d'hôte), a convenience store, a service station (regular and super gas, propane), secure parking for 70+ vehicles, sport-vehicle storage, a cold room, and minor mechanical repairs.
