On the shores of Réservoir Gouin in the Haute-Mauricie, Pourvoirie Martin offers five recently renovated, fully equipped cabins (running water, shower, hot water, fridge, propane stove, wood stove) that sleep 2 to 8 people. Known for its sport fishing for walleye, pike and yellow perch, the territory also offers spring black-bear hunting (baited sites, 40 tree stands, 85% success rate, one bear per hunter in zones 13 and 14), moose hunting (zones 13 and 14) and partridge hunting. Outside the hunting and fishing seasons, it's time for snowmobiling — with a 'Snowmobile Adventure' that includes a traditional meal with the Atikamekw community — quad and side-by-side riding, hiking, swimming, berry picking and shore lunches. Lodging is offered on the American or European plan, your choice. Ghislain and his team welcome you to a territory that has kept the natural charm of the old-growth boreal forest. Note: dogs are not allowed on site.

No paved road leads to Réservoir Gouin; it is reached via several logging roads. The villages of Parent and Clova, south of the reservoir, are accessible by train with VIA Rail Canada. Helicopter and floatplane charters available.
