Pourvoirie Seigneurie Nicolas Riou

About
Pourvoirie Seigneurie Nicolas-Riou occupies the former Nicolas-Riou seigneury south of Rimouski (Bas-Saint-Laurent, the Saint-Eugène-de-Ladrière area), in hunting zone 2. Renowned for moose hunting — an advertised 85% success rate over managed exclusive territories (bait stations, tree stands) — it has 12 hunting zones and a moose season from 1 September to 15 November. Moose packages, for 4 hunters and one moose, are European plan and allocated by an annual lottery. For fishing, about a dozen lakes are worked, holding mostly brook trout, with the two largest lakes also home to Arctic char and lake eel; Lac des 24 Arpents is known for its trophy-class trout. Fishing (season 15 May to 31 August) comes as day, fly-fishing, and lodging packages, several offered by lottery. Lodging is in solar/propane-equipped cabins (Lac Thom, Lac Blanc, Doucette, Débarcadère, Chalet des Guides) and at the Pavillon des 24 Arpents, a 4-star, 8-room inn that sleeps 16. Atlantic salmon fishing is also possible in partnership with the Zec saumon Rimouski, on the Rimouski River. The territory is also well suited to leisure stays.

Read 2026-06-24 on /tirage-orignal/ (reachable from the CHASSE menu). All packages are European plan only (meals not included). Rates by lodging unit and package type: Chalet annual $6,200, Chalet 5-year $6,650, Inn annual $6,650, Inn 5-year $7,050 (the page groups the inn line as 'Auberge annuelle et 5 ans : 6 650$ et 7 050$ + tx' — the two amounts assigned to annual and 5-year respectively by parallel with the chalet structure; to reconfirm). 'Annual' packages are non-renewable and re-drawn yearly; '5-year' packages renew over 5 years. Regulation requires only 2 tags per moose, so a party may be fewer than 4 hunters at the same price. In prime time (20 Sep – 10 Oct) only bulls may be harvested; outside prime time the option to take a cow or calf varies with the MELCCFP harvest quota. Advertised 85% success rate.
