Pourvoirie LE Chasseur

About
Pourvoirie Le Chasseur works an immense territory of mixed forest along the New Brunswick border and the Rimouski Wildlife Reserve (Bas-Saint-Laurent). Moose hunting is the specialty, with a success rate consistently above 80% over a season of 8 four-day periods (Sept. 18 to Oct. 27), on a guided American plan (inn) or a European plan (cabin). Added to this are black bear hunting from blinds over baited sites (bow, crossbow, rifle), brook trout fishing on four headwater lakes (native and stocked), and Atlantic salmon fishing on the north branch of the Kedgwick River (15 km, 10 pools, max 4 anglers per day). Lodging is at the inn (16 rooms, American plan, 3 meals a day) or in six propane-equipped cabins along the river and the lakes. Included services: game recovery (Meat Machine Team), quartering, cold room, blood-tracking dog handler, shooting range, and guides.
