About

Pourvoirie du Lac Anaïs, located in the Témiscouata area of the Bas-Saint-Laurent (Saint-Michel-du-Squatec), is a public fishing spot that has been operating since 1988, run by the non-profit organization Association des amis de la forêt du Lac Anaïs inc. Here you can fish for brook trout on Lac Anaïs, a lake of roughly 2 km, with a rowboat provided. Lodging is in a rustic log camp built in 1929 by the parish priest Mgr Cyr, sleeping up to 6 people (solar lighting, wood stove, running water that is not potable). The Sentier National passes just steps away, making it a stopover for hikers as well.

Base rate $50 per adult for 1 night (same for 2026 and 2027 seasons). Child under 18 accompanied by an adult: free (conditions apply). Check-in 2 pm, check-out 12 pm. The cabin can be booked for fishing or for a forest stay (the Sentier National passes a few steps away). Rustic round-log cabin sleeping up to 6, solar lighting, wood stove (wood provided), running water that is NON-potable.
