About

Mirage Aventure (formerly Pourvoirie Mirage) is a four-season destination in Quebec's Far North, set at km 358 of the Transtaïga road, in Eeyou Istchee James Bay, within zone 22-B. Founded in 1967 on the banks of the La Grande River and relocated near the Polaris bridge in 1994, the outfitter built 8 cabins from 1997 and today operates the Auberge Mirage (regular, superior and deluxe rooms), cabins and remote sites. Across thousands of kilometres of near-untouched rivers and lakes, the fishing targets northern pike, lake trout (grey trout), brook trout (speckled trout) and walleye, in summer and winter alike (ice fishing from December 1). The territory also lends itself to snowmobiling, ATV riding on the Transtaïga, sea kayaking, canoeing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, photo safaris and wildlife watching. The inn offers a spa, sauna, a dining room with a liquor licence and a conference room; a certified airstrip, a hydrobase and a heliport (Jet A and AvGas fuel) serve aviation enthusiasts.
