About

Pourvoirie Le Rochu is 70 km² of wild nature in the Mauricie region, with 25 accessible lakes and 16 cabins — 8 log cabins, off-grid on propane and solar power, plus 8 cabins at the main lodge on grid electricity. The lakes, stocked or wild, teem with brook trout (23 lakes), northern pike and walleye (7 lakes). On the hunting side, the forests are full of game: small game, bear and moose, the latter on a territory rated among the best in the region and free of long portages; bow hunting is practised here too. About 30 km of trails wind through the forest, and the property offers swimming in clear water, a floating slide, pedal-boats, kayaks, canoes, mountain biking, climbing, a sand beach, swings for the little ones and wild-fruit picking (blueberries, raspberries). Cabins have a shower, hot water and an indoor toilet; some at the lodge have a heat pump. On-site general store, laundry, and electric-motor and small-pontoon rental. Cellular signal and WiFi available in the lodge common room.
