Rapid Lake Lodge is a high-end lodge nestled in the subarctic tundra of Arctic Quebec (Nunavik), about 150 km southeast of Kuujjuaq. Built more than 25 years ago from hundred-year-old tundra trees, it accommodates up to 16 guests in private rooms, with gourmet meals prepared by a chef, high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. For more than 27 years the lodge has developed a renowned fly-fishing program for Arctic char, brook trout and lake trout across a network of 80+ km of rivers in the Ungava Bay area, with daily fly-outs by float plane to the best stretches of river. Air access only. The lodge is in Arctic Quebec (Nunavik), about 150 km southeast of Kuujjuaq. Transfers are from Kuujjuaq aboard Air Inuit's Twin Otter, an approximately 45-minute flight to Rapid Lake. Bush-flying access is also possible: a 7-8 hour flight from the south (for aviator pilots).
